Surah Al-Qadr (The Power)

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

97:1 We sent it [the Quran] down on the Night of Power.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ

97:2 What will make you know what the Night of Power is?

لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

97:3 The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ

97:4 The angels and the Spirit [Gabriel] come down during it, by their Lord’s permission, with every command.

سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ

97:5 It is peace until the break of dawn.
