Surah Al-Masad (The Palm Fiber)

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

111:1 May Abu Lahab’s hands be ruined, and ruined he is.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

111:2 His wealth will not help him, nor will what he earned.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

111:3 He will burn in a fire full of flame.

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ

111:4 And so will his wife, the carrier of firewood.

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ

111:5 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fiber.
