Surah Al-Humazah (The Traducer)

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

104:1 Woe to every backbiter, slanderer,

ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ

104:2 who amasses wealth [greedily] and counts it [repeatedly],

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ

104:3 thinking that their wealth will make them immortal!

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ

104:4 Not at all! Such a person will certainly be tossed into the Crusher.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ

104:5 And what will make you realize what the Crusher is?

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ

104:6 [It is] Allah’s kindled Fire,

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ

104:7 which rages over the hearts.

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ

104:8 It will be sealed over them,

فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ

104:9 [tightly secured] with long braces.
